RWBY x Male Reader What became of it? (Part 1)

With their friend dead and Yang severely injured, team RWBY split up with their own missions in mind. Weiss left for Atlas to try and convince her father to put more resources into developing dust crystals for a more secure measure. (Y/N)’s death and Yang’s injury hit Blake hard, she ran with the sole purpose to protect her friends. Yang after hearing about (Y/N)’s death and Blake’s disappearance as well as her injury, simply shut down for a while. She eventually recovered and came back stronger than ever. Ruby along with team JNPR (Pyrrha didn’t die) left in search of Cinder. They succeeded, brought her in, and returned to Beacon.

There was a new threat to Remnant however, born from Roman’s death.. Neo took the reins of Roman’s old crew and managed to turn them from rag tag group to a huge criminal empire. This new threat was simply called “The Torch”

Neo was a ruthless leader, carrying out every single crime known to honor her fallen friend. Those who opposed her were quickly diminished, and those who allied with her were given the bare minimum cash share.

She was practically untouchable, however her “Underbosses” would get tired of her reign before long.  

6 months later…

In a small warehouse on the shady side of Vale, the underbosses were called to an anonymous meeting…

Mercury: Alright, so does anyone want to tell me why we are all here?

Emerald: Frankly I thought it was your dumbass who called us here.

Mercury: What?! Hell no! I thought it was Taurus who called us here. I mean, he’s managed to survive in the white fang due to their extreme numbers. I figured he would cut us a deal to get Neo off our backs!

Adam: Frankly it was stupid of you to believe that I would ever give so generously to the “Cybernetics”. You are a human gang no less.

Mercury: So it wasn’t you?

Adam: Yeah dumbass. This was a waste of time for me, and the White Fang.
Four other leaders begin to get up and leave before a voice rings out from above on a catwalk.

???: Sit down. This is my meeting.

Mercury: Who the hell are you?

Adam: Show yourself!

Emerald: We have done nothing wrong.

A man walks out from the shadows above wearing a long black trench coat with a hood. He is also wearing a mask that was  (F/C)  img00.deviantart.net/4d67/i/20… (think something like this)
Holding what appeared to be an assault rifle.

(???): we all know that's a lie.

Adam: Do you have a death wish? Kill him!

Before anyone can do anything the man starts firing his rifle at them, as they all duck and dodge for cover. He then stops holding the smoking rifle over his shoulder

(???): I said sit the hell down!

Emerald: Do you want to die?! There are better ways for you to go, you son of a-

The man simply cuts her off with sarcasm

(???): Yeah, like yelling at the guy with the automatic is any better. Alright listen to me you low lives, I will be running this operation from now on. You three are the second most prosperous groups that Neo has yet to take over.

(Random leader): But wait there’s seven of u-

He was cut off as a bullet seared through his head spraying blood on the wall behind him. Three other bodies fell immediately after.

(???); Please excuse my math then. Now then I want all of you to go about your daily business while kicking 40% for me. Trust me it’s a hell of a lot better than what Neapolitan would offer. In return you will have protection from “The Torch” and any huntsman that happens to get involved. But all you better stay the hell away from the students and the children. If you get them involved in any way or one turns up dead from you all….you’re dead
Mercury: Alright Robo Badass this is very generous. But why in Oums name should we listen to you?

The man proceeds to drop a duffel bag on the floor to them.

Emerald looks at it hesitantly, while Adam reaches for his blade. When they open it up….
What a sight it was.
The severed heads of all their lieutenants, the smell of death and blood filled the air as Emerald proceeded to puke.

(???): This was done in two hours. Want to see what I could do in one night?

They all looked at each other clearly re- thinking their previous statements.

(???) Well then pleasure doing business with you all. Make no mistake, I’m not asking you all to take up this deal...I’m telling you to.

He then begins to fire at them again, but when they look back he’s gone.

Emerald: Y’know 40% isn’t that bad..

(Time skip)

Yang was staking out  a white fang operation. They were robbing  Schnee dust once again, but they had been acting strange lately. Instead of stealing the dust or simply destroying the place they were stealing cash. It was very weird as Yang remembered the constant plots foiled to take the dust. Just then her sister came up behind her.

Ruby :Hey Yang, We ready to move yet

Yang: Almost, I just want to check it out some more.

Ruby begins to pout as she wasn’t used to these types of missions.

Yang: Oh stop being a baby sis.

Yang picks up her binoculars to get a closer look, but stops when she sees two familiar faces show up to cause trouble

Yang: Sis we are on the move!

She said with some of her old happy go lucky personality coming back

Ruby: What is it!? Tell me!!

Yang looks up and smiles

Yang: Ice queen and kitten are back Ruby.

Ruby doesn’t waste any time in grabbing Yang and rushing down there. Using her semblance to get there in almost an instant.

Weiss forms a glyph trapping the grunts’ feet, then summoning a huge armored arm to swat them away. Blake then proceeds to wrap her wire around the grunts and with the extra momentum force them to crash into a wall. She missed one however and he was standing up to shoot her in the back. An all too familiar sniper shot was heard and Blake ducked only for the grunt to get hit square in the chest. As the other members started to retreat Yang landed in front of them. Her remaining Ember Celica fired up as she cracked he neck and lunged forward throwing a punch hitting one and chaining all that were behind him. Before they could recover yang swept her leg under them. Tripping some and she used the momentum to butterfly kick the the others while delivering a devastating punch to the earth knocking them all out.

The girls rounded up all of the unconscious White Fang grunts and tied up the conscious three for questioning. Before they got started though the girls had some catching up to do.

Ruby: WEISS!!!

Ruby practically tackled the heiress in a hug while rambling on

RubyHMYGODIMISSEDYOUSOMUCH!HOWHAVEYOUBEENBESTIEOHMYGODWEHAVEALOTOFCATCHINGUPTODO!    

Weiss proceeded to instinctively whack Ruby, but immediately after pulled her into a hug

Weiss: It’s good to see you too, you dolt.

Ruby returned the hug as Blake walked up to Yang

Blake: Yang...I’m so sorry...for running again…

Yang didn’t say a word, but simply walked up and gave her up a hug with her remaining arm.

Yang: I understand why you left…

Yang held her tighter

Yang: just don't leave like that ever again

Weiss then ruined the moment by tapping her foot obnoxiously.

Weiss: we still have a job to do, we can all catch up later.

Yang: Jeez Ice queen you really know how to ruin a romantic moment.

Blake immediately covered her eyes while blushing while Ruby looked confused and Weiss gasped in shock

Yang: Hey I was just kidding.

Yang turns to the now annoyed White Fang grunts her large smile replaced by a death glare.

Yang: so then, who do you guys work for?

They simply looked away

Ruby: Please cooperate? I’ll give you a cookie.

Weiss: It really would be wise to give us the info-

Blake:Yang just scare the crap out of them already

Yang proceeds to punch a hole right beside their heads immediately making them look at her in fear.

WF grunt #1: I think I peed a little….

WF grunt #2: Ok we’ll talk!

WF grunt #3: We’re working for the Dark Hood! We don’t have a choice I swear!

Blake: Who is this “Dark Hood”

WF grunt #2: He’s the new guy on the block who’s going after “The Torch”

WF grunt #1: Please that's all we know now please le-

He suddenly stops as blood starts leaking through his chest, a bullet hole.

Team RWBY moves to cover as the other two grunts scream in terror before being silenced just like the first….

(???) Well...this should be interesting
